• Directions

  From M5 (south) junction 31, follow the A30 to Bodmin, following signs to Redruth and then to Camborne. Don't turn off at Tolvaddon Junction to Camborne and Pool; instead, take the second exit (Camborne West). Carry on straight into town; the hotel is on your right, opposite Aldi.
  
  Walking from train station – head left out of the train station onto Trevu Road, straight over the double roundabout and onto Cross Street. Head all the way down Cross Street and the hotel will be straight ahead of you.
  
  Walking from the bus station – head straight ahead out of the bus station onto New Connexion Street, then turning left onto Commercial Street. The pub will be straight ahead of you.

  Eden Project
  The Eden Project, an educational charity, connects us with each other and the living world. This visitor destination, near St Austell, is nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to its great gardens, summer concerts and an exciting year-round family events programme.
  
  Poldark Tin Mine
  Located in the picturesque Wendron Valley, this is one of Cornwall’s most important heritage sites, with what are believed to be the oldest complete mine workings in Great Britain which are open to the public.
  
  Heartlands
  Located in Pool, just off the A30, Heartlands forms part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site and features state-of-the-art exhibition spaces, affordable art and craft studios, botanical gardens designed to represent the different countries Cornish men mined in, a café housed in a grade II listed former carpentry shed and the biggest adventure playground in Cornwall.
  
  Paradise Park
  Paradise Park carries out conservation work on native UK species, including the Cornish chough, otters, owls and red squirrels. It is also home to rare and endangered parrots and is an excellent and informative day out for any family.
  
  King Edward Mine Museum
  This is a Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, where you can discover the history of Cornish mining. There are numerous mining history trails, and expert guides show how the tin was processed.
