Welcome

J D Wetherspoon has restored The Bath Arms to its former glory. This grade II listed property is one of the town’s three surviving 18th-century inns. With photos, local history and commissioned artwork displayed throughout the pub and hotel, take a step back in time to the town’s roots. We have 10 beautiful en suite bedrooms, each complete with plasma TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, plus hairdryer. Ironing facilities are available, on request. The rooms display original artwork depicting architecture from the surrounding areas, by a student at Warminster School.

Warminster is a beautiful market town, with fine Georgian architecture, nestling in chalk downlands and surrounded by stunning countryside. The name Warminster first occurs in the early 10th century, a name thought to derive from the name of the River Were, which runs through the town and can be seen running through the middle of the town’s park and pleasure grounds. Warminster has always had strong military connections; during World War I, soldiers from Australia, New Zealand and Canada camped in the villages around Warminster, where they trained for a life in the trenches.
