Rupert Brooke Take a look at old photographs of Rugby. 8–10 Castle Street, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 2TP At the end of Regent Street, there is a bronze statue of Rupert Brooke, a poet of World War I. Brooke was born in 1887 at the corner of Hillmorton Road and Church Walk. He then attended Rugby School and wrote some of his best-known poetry in the town. An old photograph of Market Place, Rugby.
